Research: Lyrics Analysis
I then went on a site called word it out and using this site let you simply identify what words are more important than others and by this you get a better meaning of what the lyrics is trying to get across to the audience. as you can see the biggest word is 'Save' as this is used the most and another reason for this is the word save is used in the title of the song.

Research Into Existing Music Videos - Clean Bandit ft Jess Glynne - Rather Be
This music video is by Clean Bandit ft Jess Glynne who are well known artists that work their way into being quite famous.

The music video started with a mid shot of a pond using a Deep Focus technique to focus the leaves that were close to the camera and then focusing on the koi fish in the background. the interesting thing about the mid shot is the camera movement. the camera movement was a tracking shot from one scene to another scene and in-between the scenes was a Graphic Match, and what this did was add two different scenes together to make certain parts of both scene look similar giving some sort of surrealistic switch from one scene to another.
0.17 seconds on the music video, you see a close up of the female character and her cat, the reason for this is to give the audience a sense that she is a caring person, this is important in music videos as it gives audience a reason to feel more sorry for individuals in music videos if anything bad happens.
3:37 minutes in the music video, you see a mid shot of eight people dancing inside the train, the positioning in which they stood shows that they are trying to get the audience to concentrate on the who's in the middle of the shot as you can see they make a line leading to the centre of the frame. there is also a stereotypical clothing aspect evidence by the female character in the middle of the shot as she is wearing a costume that doesn't cover certain parts of her body.
0:49 seconds into the music video, you get to evidence the fact that she rides a motor scooter. This is therefore counter stereotypical of her as the audience wouldn't have pictures her riding a motor scooter, this then makes her a stronger character as she is seen to be capable to do more things than expected.

Here is the music video which in my conclusion is made with multiply amount of surrealism. This gives the music video a unique aspect to it.

Research Into Existing Music Videos - Listenbee Save Me
Here is a photo taken of my mind map looking at key convention in the music video: Listenbee save me.
The music video save me by Listenbee began with an establishing shot of the location that the music video took place. In the establishing shot, you therefore see that the place looks like an isolated area and the background noise gives a good explanation of what type of location the music video. It then goes to an close up shot of boy playing cricket with is friends which is counter-stereotypical of them. It was very interesting to see them playing cricket because cricket isn't a game that was known to be played by people in that location.

0:45 seconds on the music video, an hand held shot was used as the camera follows the boy was trying to hide the chicken he has as a pet from his family as that might bring danger to the chicken. This is used to get the audience engaged in the activity that was going on in the scene which is the boy trying sneak into his own house to prevent being spotted by other people. As the hand held shot, the camera seems like it is trying to replicate the audience eyes as they feels like they are helping the boy hide his pet chicken.
In the lyrics of the song, "and night i drink way too much" was in the lyrics, this was said exactly the same time the older male character in the music video was drinking alcohol, this is a good technique to use in the music video as it show that there is a match between the lyrics and the music video which makes the audience think that the music video does make sense and matches the lyrics to the song.
Deep focus was used in his this shot which looks highly interesting s it started from a close up of the boy looking at what is going on outside to the focus of the camera switching to the scene happening outside of the dog which looks like the predator. this technique was used to get the audience feeling like they are in two different scene at the same time which get the audience more involved in the music video.
This is a long shot of the boy trying to catch his frightened chicken and this shot shows that the chicken is very vulnerable and the boy might looks like a treat but then it duplicate to it being the kid being the vulnerable one as the chicken is taking him into danger as there so many danger towards the chicken, it then looks like the kids is being dragged into the same danger. this shot makes the audience fear for the kid and the chicken as they are highly vulnerable and the audience will be engaged to try and figure out what will happen next.
The costume used fits the location very well as the kid only has shorts and a vest on which shows that he can't afford to have better clothing as he lived in a poor location, this also represent kids that live in a poor location as the boy in the music video doesn't have any footwear which is a good representation of kids in a poor populated area as they can't afford to wear footwear so they live their lives.
Here is the actual music video and the reason i have chosen this is because

Reflecting on the As media
Reflecting on what i did last year, i think there are varieties of things i could have done better to get me an higher grade, this could include preparing for the examination, adding more to my blog to make it look professional and also going over what i have done to be able to remember it in the exam.
i should have also make sure that what i wrote down in the exam makes sense because if i got the right answer and the sentence doesn't make sense, then that could lead to me losing marks.
